Covering her loose curly hair along with the tiara was a sheer white veil. Something new given to Kate by her parents hung on her ears—diamond earrings in the shape of oak leaves with a stylized drop pear-shaped and diamond tassel balanced in the core. Catharine was traditionally modern.
