A photo spread shot by Steven Meisel which plays upon the recent Gulf oil spill. The editorial has received split reveiws; is it high fashion or just plain insensitive?

The oldest French fashion house in operation now has it’s sights set on American coast to coast operations. With retail stores already in Florida and Las Vegas, the famed house has just opened up a 3,550 square foot store in New York City and another is on the way in California; The 6,000 square foot space will be on Rodeo Drive in Beverly Hills and is set to open in December. The highlight? An underground VIP entrance for celebrity clients dodging the paparazzi. Lucky for us, Lanvin has a line of perfumes that are just as popular and decidedly more affordable than the clothing!
Never mind the near $3 million tab ($11,000 on a cake?!) and the indignant community of Rhinebeck, the highlight of Chelsea Clinton’s wedding was, without a doubt, her custom made Vera Wang dress. Wang has become almost synonymous with celebrity wedding gowns, and she definitely did the title proud with this one-
