Tinsley Mortimer, socialite and fashionista extraordinaire, has unveiled her fifth collection of handbags for Japanese company Samantha Thavasa.   The line, which is described as “a girly take on ’80s-inspired bags and clutches that would be just as home at a hair metal arena rock show as they would on the set of “Gossip Girl” debuted on July 20th at the stores Madison Avenue boutique. Madonna definitely rocked it as the new face of Dolce & Gabbana’s Spring/Summer 2010 ad campaign, a series of shots in which she is portrayed as a domesticated housewife. Also, the Material Mom debuted her much anticipated eye-wear collection, a collaborative effort with the famed fashion powerhouse. The shades, which were unveiled in May, come in 6 styles and a variety of colors with prices ranging from $290-$315. Our favorite? These 50’s inspired metal frames.

Ok, so we all remember Carrie Bradshaw’s infamous “naked dress” from season 1 of Sex and the City; turns out, our favorite single gal was ahead of the curve yet again.
