“Merchandise With A Meaning”

Friday, August 7th, 2009

Celebrities, Noble Peace Prize Winners and Athletes alike have all joined together to support and promote the Whatever It Takes charity artwork program. The charity ethically produces merchandise with artwork that has been created by these leaders, and the profits go towards different causes chosen by each leader. These stars include John Travolta, Paul and Heather McCartney, The Rolling Stones, Snoop Dogg and Heidi Klum; just to name a few.

Anything from designer mugs to bed linen to jewelry to t-shirts and tote bags (and much more) is featured with celebrity artwork and is being sold to raise awareness for many great causes. For licensing purposes, Whatever It Takes has also joined together with companies like Vans and Lee Jeans in hopes to raise $3 million over the next three years. Check out the website at www.whateverittakes.org for more information and to see what causes are specifically affiliated with this wonderful program and how you can help.

Nicole Kidman has designed this mug and the proceeds go to 21st Century and Unicef. $18.19 at www.whateverittakes.org

The Audrey Dress by AprilMarin is a beautiful piece that has truly and properly modernized the amazing fashions that the actress wore. Better Late Than Never: No More Tan Lines?!

Monday, August 3rd, 2009

I know summer is practically over, but I just made discovered and HAD to inform those who did not know about the Kiniki Swimsuit Line.  For those who haven’t already heard, a British company has made a “tan through swimwear” collection.  Eighty percent of the suns rays are able to penetrate the suits’ fabric, leaving you with much less severe tan lines.  But beware, when wearing a suit with this type of concept; make sure you still use sunscreen, especially on those parts that are now being “exposed” to the sun, even though they are covered.

They offer several different types of styles and colors, and even a quite extent men’s line so that you can match your man.  Check them out at Kiniki.com, a bunch of styles are now on sale!

We want the dirt: the good, the bad, and the ugly.  If you have experienced this “tan-though” swimsuit-breakthrough, let us know how it went!
