Cameron Diaz looked fabulous in a new Veronica Lake-inspired ‘do and her Oscar de la Renta dress. 

Penelope Cruz wore a crimson gown by Donna Karen Haute Couture.  This dress pleated and draped beautifully.

Mariah Carey wore an elegant dark blue gown by Valentino.  This dress was one shoulder and had a high slit (both things that are forecasted for spring 2010!)

My ultimate favorite was Demi Moore, who pulled off a peach Versace strapless gown with beautifully tiered ruffles.

Animal prints are a new fashion coming up for spring.  It is a great way to dress up a black outfit.  Animal prints can be worn as a dress, shirt, or even just to accessorize as seen on Halle Berry above and Nicky Hilton dressing up a black dress with a zebra print clutch.

As we are close to the end of winter,  it is almost time to get rid of the dark nail polish and put on something lighter so your nails are not stained by the time summer brights come out!  A very popular color on the horizon is grey.  Celebrities such as Kim Kardashian have been seen wearing grey.

Caring for your clothing means, being able to wear your clothing longer.  The more chemicals used on your clothing, the quicker they will fade. 

There are a couple of ways to make your clothing look and stay longer.  One is to steam your clothes instead of ironing them.  Steamers preserve clothing longer, whereas an iron breaks down the fibers.  Another way is to use baking soda instead of bleach.  Over time bleach causes your clothes to disintegrate, baking soda makes them brighter just without the harsh chemicals.  A third is to try to stay away from starch, it causes your clothes to fray such as around the collar.  A way to keep your jeans looking new, is to turn them inside out when you wash them.  Last but not least, always follow the directions on the label.  Saving time by washing everything together does not always save money.

Tee shirts are always a staple in every girls closet, they are comfortable and easy to throw on.   You can dress them up with a chunky necklace, nice belt or bangle bracelets.

All women have different body types.  There are six different body types, round, inverted triangle, hourglass, pear, diamond, and straight.

Round Body types have generous bust, wider rib cage, narrow hips, and slender legs.  This body type should wear tops that are v neck, and avoid tops that are fitted

Invented Triangle body shapes have broad shoulders, medium bust, narrow hips, and shapely long legs.  Pants that have flare are best for this figure. 

Hourglass body has a bust, defined waist, curved hips, and shapely legs.  A great trend is to wear wraps that accentuate your waist.  

Pear shape bodies have narrow shoulders, small bust, as well as a shapely waist and generous lower hips.  Pants that are the best are flowing fabrics that accentuate your hips and tailored shirts

Diamond shape body is when you have narrow shoulders, a small bust, and generous thighs.  What you should avoid is any pants that have detail on the bottom.  What looks great on this figure are tops that are fitted but a little flare to go over your hips.

Straight body types is when you upper and lower torso is equal.  Shirts that have a neckline below your collarbone to elongate your torso and straight skirts.  Avoid belts or pleats since they will accentuate your hips and make them look thick.
